About Maya Astha

Maya Astha is an Australian multidisciplinary writer-artist. Her work explores topics of alienation, injustice, culture, modern life and motherhood. She writes poetry and fiction.

She also does illustrations and patterns drawing heavily from her Indian ancestry, with a particular focus on paisley designs and zari borders, as well as surreal and whimsical designs.
